So yesterday we flew from Portland, OR to Honolulu, HI to Hilo, HI. The trip was long and tiring, but we are finally here! I was super exhausted yesterday because we had only slept a few hours the night before our flight. Porkchop had his first plane ride and I'm sure he was having a blast in there. I got up every 1-2 hours as the doctor ordered while we were flying. I also got up too early in the flight and tried to use the bathroom, only to get yelled at by the stewardess. My bladder was about to explode and I had to go pee so bad, but I waited like a good girl and finally got to go about 1o minutes later.
Kai and I were discussing that the next time we fly to Hawaii we will have a baby and we will be "those" people with a baby. We'll be "those" people that get stared at all the way down the rows of the plane (you all know EXACTLY what I'm talking about). And I know people will be thinking in their minds, "Please don't let "those" people with that baby sit right next to me." Knowing our luck, we'll have the best baby in the world at home, but the minute we get him on the plane he'll cry and throw up everywhere...ohhh, how fun to look forward to parenthood.
Honestly, I can't wait til our little man comes, but I watch people with their children in a whole nother light now. I find myself feeling a little less judgemental of the people who have those naughty children throwing their bottles and screaming at the top of their lungs in the store. I've just decided we're blindfolding our children everytime we visit the grocery store so they have no idea what they're missing. Or I'll buy one of those backpack leashes to make sure the little sucker doesn't run away. Kai, of course, is against this. I, on the other hand, am highly, highly considering it...
I have a backpack leash you can have when Porkchop starts walking!
ReplyDeleteI see NO problem with backpack leashes. Better to leash it up rather than lose it.
ReplyDeleteWe flew with Maddox when he was about 7 weeks and he was perfect on the plane! I was super nervous, but he was great! Now the 2 year old on our flight was a different story. Babies are fine to fly with, it is toddlers that area pain!
